Saturday, May 23
11:30 a.m. – 12:45 p.m.
The Canadian poetry scene has been described as “remarkable and ever-changing” (Tightrope Books), with new poets and poetries emerging at an energetic pace. Join a panel of Alberta poetry publishers to hear how they each navigate the current poetic landscape and discuss what they see as the future of Canadian poetry. Poets and readers alike will enjoy a dynamic conversation with these advocates, gaining insight into the publishers' role in the production of Canadian poetry.
Featuring Kelsey Attard, Managing Editor of Freehand Books; Matthew Stepanic, Editor of Glass Buffalo; and Angela Kublik, Editor and Publisher of House of Blue Skies. Moderated by Rayanne Doucet, Executive Director of the Edmonton Poetry Festival.
